    EDI Stacks and EDI System Pure water

    The EDI stack is the core component for EDI System. An EDI module is built by layering multiple "cell-pairs," which consist of 
    Purifying Chamber: Filled with mixed ion-exchange resins, the best quality ion-exchange resins is key factor.
    Concentrate Chamber: Separated from the purifying chamber by ion-selective membranes.
    Ion-Selective Membranes: These allow either cations (positive) or anions (negative) to pass through.
    Several of these cell-pairs are stacked together between an anode (+) and a cathode (-) and then sealed into a module—this is the EDI stack. Different quantity models of stacks are available to meet various flow rate and purity requirement

    Application

    *When fed with low total dissolved solids (TDS) feed (e.g., feed purified by RO), the product can reach very high purity levels (e.g., 18 megohms/cm ). [2] The ion exchange resins act to retain the ions, allowing these to be transported across the ion exchange membranes. The main applications of EDI technology, such as that supplied by Ionpure, E-cell and SnowPure, PND EDI, are in electronics, pharmaceuticals and power generation.

    One important aspect in the water treatment application is that some types of EDI needs to have feed water that is free from CO2 , as well as other dissolved gasses, since these put unnecessary strain on the EDI unit and will reduce performance.

    RO System + EDI System output pure water can widely apply to disinfectant acid water spray in the anti-corona-virus.
