    Designed specifically for critical medical and laboratory applications, the 1000LPH High Purity Water EDI System provides a reliable, chemical-free solution for producing consistent high-quality purified water. Engineered to operate with a feed supply from a two-stage Reverse Osmosis (RO) System, this unit leverages Electrodeionization (EDI) technology to continuously deionize water without the need for chemical regeneration.

    The integrated two-stage RO pretreatment effectively removes 99%+ of dissolved solids, bacteria, and pyrogens, ensuring optimal feed water conditions for the downstream EDI module. The resulting product water meets the stringent resistivity and total organic carbon (TOC) requirements essential for medical devices, clinical analyzers, sterile processing, and pharmaceutical preparations. With a production capacity of 1,000 liters per hour, this system delivers operational efficiency, microbial safety, and consistent purity while minimizing downtime and chemical handling risks.

    Application

    *When fed with low total dissolved solids (TDS) feed (e.g., feed purified by RO), the product can reach very high purity levels (e.g., 18 megohms/cm ). [2] The ion exchange resins act to retain the ions, allowing these to be transported across the ion exchange membranes. The main applications of EDI technology, such as that supplied by Ionpure, E-cell and SnowPure, PND EDI, are in electronics, pharmaceuticals and power generation.

    One important aspect in the water treatment application is that some types of EDI needs to have feed water that is free from CO2 , as well as other dissolved gasses, since these put unnecessary strain on the EDI unit and will reduce performance.
